Title - Mechanical Engineer (P. E.)
Location: Silver Spring, Maryland
Salary: $140k - $145k/annually (+other benefits)
Shifts – Onsite, Monday – Friday, Standard hours
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer (P. E) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design, analysis, and project management, and will be responsible for developing innovative solutions for complex engineering problems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, analyze, and test mechanical systems and components, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Lead projects from conception through execution, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to meet project timelines and budgets.
- Perform calculations, simulations, and finite element analysis (FEA) to validate designs and optimize performance.
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, and project documentation, maintaining thorough records of designs and processes.
- Work closely with clients, stakeholders, and team members to understand project requirements and provide expert guidance.
- Conduct reviews and audits of designs and processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices.
- Provide guidance and support to junior engineers and interns, fostering a collaborative and learning-oriented environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (P. E) designation in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in (specific industry, e.g., aerospace, automotive, HVAC).
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD), FEA tools, and other engineering analysis software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present complex information clearly.
- Strong analytical skills with a creative approach to resolving engineering challenges.
