Tenure: Full-Time

Location: Vancouver, BC

Pay Rate : $40-50/hr.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs for HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, and other systems to ensure efficient operation.
• Inspect and maintain property interiors, exteriors, and building systems, addressing issues like walls, flooring, lighting, and roofing.
• Troubleshoot and repair refrigeration systems, including walk-in coolers, freezers, and HVAC equipment.
• Conduct inspections, hazard assessments, and ensure compliance with safety standards, codes, and regulations.
• Complete real-time updates for work orders in CMMS systems, submit receipts, and attend work and safety meetings.
• Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 80 lbs, climbing ladders, and working in extreme conditions.
• Drive within a 2-hour radius from the base location and complete regular vehicle inspections.

Qualifications:

• At least four (4) years of technical experience in building engineering, focusing on HVAC/R systems and refrigeration (including diagnosing and repairing walk-in coolers, freezers, and refrigerators).
• Basic experience in plumbing, electrical systems, and production equipment repair.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC system design and applications.
• Type II EPA Certification and applicable state licenses.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

Preferred:

• Universal EPA Certification.
• Working knowledge of computer applications, including Word and Excel.
• Completion of a two-year trade school program or documented apprenticeship in electrical, refrigeration, or HVAC systems.
• 3rd Party Certification.
