If you are passionate about providing health care through diagnostic testing, then this opportunity is for you! Our client is a global healthcare company providing cutting edge diagnostic testing to make a difference! We are seeking a Histotechnologist I to join their growing team!


Location: Los Angeles, CA

Shift: 3rd Shift, Tuesday – Saturday 12am- 8:30am

Type: 3 month contract to possible hire

Pay: $31.00- $35.00/hr.


Summary: Responsible for performing complex medical laboratory tests that support the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases. The role involves working with biological samples, analyzing lab results, and assisting in clinical trials. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and a detailed-oriented approach to ensure accuracy in all laboratory processes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze laboratory findings to ensure the accuracy of medical test results.
  • Perform tests on biological samples to analyze chemical content or reactions.
  • Monitor and assist with clinical trials conducted by research organizations or internal teams.
  • Cultivate, isolate, and help identify microbial organisms, performing various tests on these microorganisms.
  • Conduct clinical trials of pharmaceuticals, ensuring all tests meet necessary standards and regulations.
  • Enter data from laboratory tests and clinical results into computer systems for accurate record-keeping and analysis.
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment such as spectrophotometers, calorimeters, flame photometers, and computer-controlled analyzers.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain quality standards throughout all procedures.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Basic understanding of diagnostic and treatment techniques for human diseases.
  • Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and international quality standards for human clinical trials, including local regulations.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and accurate documentation of results.

Education and Experience:

  • Associate's degree in Medical Technology, Biological Science, or a related field is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or a related field is preferred.
  • The role requires working in a laboratory environment, with occasional shifts or extended hours depending on project needs.
