Our Client, a leader in commercial real estate and facilities/asset management is seeking to add an HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) Manager to its team. This role will work onsite in Westborough, MA and works Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. This is a 5-month contract role that pays $54.30 per hour. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of related management experience and a good working knowledge of functional safety. Upon conversion this role offers increased compensation, an annual bonus plan, and a strong benefit package.
Job Responsibilities:
- Infrastructure and Project Delivery
- Collaborating with project managers, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure alignment of safety objectives and adherence to legal requirements, and client procedures
- Identifying potential hazards and risks associated with the project activities, and developing strategies to mitigate them effectively.
- Act on behalf of the client to ensure procedures and policies are ultized based on construction activities
- Evaluation of contractor’s performance and advise project managers and leadership
- Safety Documentation
- Review contractor safety plans for conformance to site procedures, identify gaps, and establish mitigation
- Maintain accurate records of all contractor safety programs and requested documentation
- Culture
- Promote safety through all applicable responsibilities through problem solving, communication, and relationship building.
Required Skills:
- 3+ years of relevant management experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Working knowledge of federal, state and local health and safety, and environmental regulations, including but not limited to, OSHA, NFPA, ANSI, ISO, ACGIH, and NIOSH.
- Knowledge of collaborative software such as ASANA, Autodesk, etc.
- Advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles
Preferred Skills:
- Direct experience dealing with regulatory agencies and/or compliance officers is preferred.
- Experience working in manufacturing, robotics, construction, and facility maintenance and management is preferred.
- Certification in any of the following: Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Hazardous Material Manager (CHMM), Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST).
