Job Description

Position Overview:

Onward Search is looking for a passionate and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join a school team in Washington County, Oregon. This full-time, in-person role is set to begin in early January 2025.


Details You Should Know:

  • Location: In-person only (no hybrid or virtual options).
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday
  • Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours.
  • Caseload: Approximately 60 students.
  • Student Age/Grade Level: K-6


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive assessments to evaluate the speech, language, and communication needs of students.
  • Create and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), with measurable goals and progress tracking.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students with communication disorders, both individually and in small groups.
  • Supervise and mentor Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) to ensure quality service delivery and alignment with treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to foster a supportive environment for students with communication challenges.
  • Consult with school staff to integrate speech and language support within the classroom.
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation of assessments, treatment plans, IEPs, and progress reports.
  • Stay current with best practices and continue professional development to improve therapy services and student outcomes.


Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid Oregon State License as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Oregon Department of Education (ODE) endorsement
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), or eligibility to obtain this certification.
