Position Overview:
Onward Search is looking for a passionate and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join a school team in Washington County, Oregon. This full-time, in-person role is set to begin in early January 2025.
Details You Should Know:
- Location: In-person only (no hybrid or virtual options).
- Schedule: Monday through Friday
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours.
- Caseload: Approximately 60 students.
- Student Age/Grade Level: K-6
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive assessments to evaluate the speech, language, and communication needs of students.
- Create and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), with measurable goals and progress tracking.
- Provide direct therapy services to students with communication disorders, both individually and in small groups.
- Supervise and mentor Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) to ensure quality service delivery and alignment with treatment plans.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to foster a supportive environment for students with communication challenges.
- Consult with school staff to integrate speech and language support within the classroom.
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation of assessments, treatment plans, IEPs, and progress reports.
- Stay current with best practices and continue professional development to improve therapy services and student outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid Oregon State License as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Oregon Department of Education (ODE) endorsement
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), or eligibility to obtain this certification.
