Position Overview:

The EH&S Safety Supervisor will support PV operations and foster a ‘Safety Always’ culture . This position will focus on environmental stewardship, regulatory compliance, factory safety, and risk management. Starting as an individual contributor supported by internal and external expertise, this role will expand to lead a team as operations grow.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead the implementation of programs to manage risk, improve critical KPIs, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical expertise and management direction in EH&S disciplines, including chemical safety, process safety, equipment safety, ergonomics, hazardous waste management, and environmental permitting.
• Collaborate with Process Development and Manufacturing teams to establish safety safeguards and training programs for existing equipment and guide new requirements.
• Build and maintain Emergency Response Team (ERT) responsibilities for the factory, leading investigations and driving root cause corrective actions as needed.
• Assess EH&S needs, sourcing and managing 3rd-party resources when internal capabilities are insufficient.
• Participate in the design, installation, and start-up of new equipment and processes, providing timely input to equipment and process design reviews.
• Support a 24/7 manufacturing operation with a proactive and solutions-focused approach to safety.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred. Strong preference for degrees in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering , or related fields like Chemical Engineering or Environmental Science .
• 3+ years of demonstrated EH&S leadership experience in a complex manufacturing environment, ideally in semiconductor, thin film solar, or chemical manufacturing .
• Active professional certification such as CSP, IH, or CHMM .
• Bilingual in Chinese preferred
• Strong working knowledge of local environmental regulations and experience interacting with regulatory agencies.
• Proven ability to lead and influence across organizations without direct management authority. Experience presenting complex EH&S matters to executive leadership is a plus.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear and effective EH&S messaging.
• Ability to support occasional domestic and international travel.
