Our client in the logistics industry is looking for a fulltime/perm End User Support technician. Focus will be on Tier 1 and 2 IT support and handheld devices.
Location: Hyrbid – Etobicoke office
Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line investigation and diagnosis for all IT incidents.
- Log all incidents/service requests into the incident management system.
- Manage configuration, support and troubleshooting of handheld devices used in warehouses
- Keep users informed of progress and resolution status.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of all hardware, software resources, and parts.
- Provide basic training and demos for staff as needed.
- Create and maintain support documentation for end users.
- Configure and install PCs, label printers, and cabling.
- Set up, configure, and deploy desktop, laptop, and tablet computers along with associated peripherals/IT equipment.
- Support and troubleshoot software and applications, including Windows 10 and the Office Suite.
- Work with various vendors to support and maintain their systems within the plant environment.
- Deploy and troubleshoot wired and wireless networks, including installing cabling and performing basic network troubleshooting.
- Perform tasks such as creating computer accounts and resetting user passwords.
- Adhere to all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions to ensure controlled and consistent work practices.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience supporting IT equipment including PCs (hardware and software), printers, scanners, handheld devices, and vendor-specific equipment.
- Hands-on experience with troubleshooting general electronics and IT systems.
- A+ IT Technician certification.
- Microsoft Certification (e.g., MCSA) is desirable.
