Role Description

This is a remote role for a Lead Software Engineer at Braid in the San Francisco Bay Area. You will play a pivotal role in architecting, designing, and delivering high-quality software solutions. You'll need to navigate ambiguity, and drive initiatives to completion. Working closely with a small, dynamic team—including the co-founders—you will ensure our solutions align with the product and vision.

Technical Leadership:

• Lead architectural design discussions, code reviews, and establish technical best practices.
• Drive end-to-end ownership, ensuring robustness, scalability, and maintainability.
• Advocate for high-quality code, automated testing, and CI/CD.

Hands-on Development:

• Design and implement Java-based high-availability systems.
• Build and maintain APIs, integrations, and event-driven systems capable of handling substantial traffic.
• Troubleshoot complex issues, optimize performance, and enhance system reliability.

Adaptability, Ownership, and Collaboration:

• Embrace uncertainty - make decisions with incomplete information, adjusting course as needed.
