Lawrence Harvey is partnered with a leader in the Fintech / Crypto market as they grow their DevOps team in New York. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented DevOps Engineer to manage and automate deployment, maintenance, and monitoring processes for on-premises systems. This role is ideal for a professional with experience in hybrid environments, combining technical expertise with strong problem-solving abilities to ensure robust and efficient system performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Automate deployment and maintenance processes for on-premises systems using tools like Ansible and Python scripting.
- Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams to design, deploy, and monitor robust systems in unique operational locations.
- Manage and monitor on-premises infrastructure, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
- Implement and maintain telemetry and monitoring solutions to provide actionable insights into system health and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system and network issues promptly.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration between on-premises and cloud systems.
Required Qualifications
- 6–8 years of experience in Linux/Unix systems administration.
- At least 2–3 years of hands-on experience with automation tools like Ansible, Terraform and scripting with Python or Bash.
- Strong knowledge of on-premises infrastructure management and its unique challenges.
- An understanding of networking concepts, routing, switches and protocols.
- Proven ability to operate effectively in hybrid on-premises and cloud environments.
- Experience with system monitoring and telemetry solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with distributed systems and the challenges associated with unique operational settings such as mining, custody or storage of cryptocurrencies.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams.
