Pave Talent is hiring on behalf of our client, a well-established aerospace engineering and repair facility located 40 minutes outside of Chicago. Recently acquired by a larger industrial group, this growing company specializes in the design, qualification, and certification of critical aerospace components.

Core Responsibilities:


  • Design and qualify aerospace components using both metallic and non-metallic materials
  • Create solid models and detailed manufacturing drawings using CAD software
  • Develop and oversee material qualification testing plans
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering for production transition
  • Prepare technical data packages and certification reports
  • Optimize product designs for cost, weight, and robustness
  • Support problem-solving throughout manufacturing and qualification phases


Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks or similar CAD software
  • Understanding of GD&T standards and measurement practices
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Microsoft Office proficiency


Preferred Experience:


  • 5+ years of engineering experience
  • Manufacturing environment background
  • Experience with hands-on projects (automotive, woodwork, metal fabrication)
  • Knowledge of electro-mechanical systems
  • Familiarity with aerospace industry standards
