To accomplish this, they have a full, in-house staff of experienced professionals in various technical disciplines such as medical materials, device engineering, drafting and documentation, product testing, regulatory compliance, manufacturing, risk analysis, and quality assurance.
What you will do as a Manufacturing Engineer:
- Define and implement Verification and Validation activities
- Facilitate project plans and reviews
- Facilitate risk analysis, and implement solutions to mitigate identified risks
- Will design manufacturing jigs, fixtures, and equipment
- Create internal label specifications
- Process document change orders (DCOs) promptly, accurately, and completely
- Support manufacturing, helping to produce products meeting Summit Medical quality standards, cost targets, and production schedules
- Develop processes that are safe, mistake-proofed, and easy to follow instructions using design for manufacturing principles
- Support purchasing with complete documentation as required; source, visit, and qualify vendors as needed
- Perform failure analysis, complete corrective actions and preventative actions as needed to support quality
- Provide cost and expense information as required for accounting
you need to be a Manufacturing Engineer:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing or Process Engineering OR equivalent work experience
- Lean manufacturing process knowledge
- Knowledge of cleanroom and sterilization processes
- Experience with small to large semi-automated equipment implementation
- Medical device experience is highly preferred
