Key Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor a team fostering a collaborative environment to develop and optimize PVC formulations tailored to market needs.
- Develop new PVC compounds, ensuring compatibility with manufacturing processes and alignment with customer requirements.
- Drive innovation by researching and incorporating new materials, additives, and technologies to enhance product performance and sustainability.
- Oversee the product development lifecycle, from ideation to commercialization, ensuring projects meet technical, quality, and timeline objectives.
- Partner with manufacturing, quality assurance, and sales teams to align technical development with business goals. Provide technical expertise to support customer inquiries and troubleshooting.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance formulation efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Stay current with market trends, regulations, and technological advancements in PVC and related industries. Represent the company at industry events and conferences as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Polymer Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or related field.
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in PVC formulation, product development, or a similar role in the plastics or chemical industry.
- Proven leadership experience, including managing teams and leading cross-functional projects.
- Hands-on experience in PVC formulation, including working with additives such as stabilizers, plasticizers, fillers, and processing aids.
- Strong understanding of polymer processing techniques and Design of Experiment (DOE)
