Staff Pharmacist

Remote/Onsite: Fully Onsite

Location: Byfield, MA, The office will be moving to Newburyport, MA within the few months

Training: 1 week, Mon-Fri, 9-5:30 PM

Initial Assignment Length: 4-5 months contract with possibility for extension/conversion based on performance, attendance and business need.

Pay Range : $60 to $64 per hour

Training Hours:

• 1 week, 9 AM to 5:30 PM M-F for training

Work Hours:

Five days M-F

• 2 shifts 9 AM to 5:30 PM
• 3 shifts 12:30 PM To 9 PM

Or

Four days M-F

• 1 shift 9 AM to 7: 30 PM
• 3 shifts 10:30 AM to 9 PM

Job Description:

• Interprets physicians' prescriptions and compounds and dispenses medications within regulatory guidelines.
• Consults with customers regarding use of medications and potential drug interactions.
• Counsels customers and handles complex problem resolution.
• Performing first and second verification of prescription orders, performing DUR's, outreach to prescriber offices.
• Fielding phone calls from patients as well as prescriber's offices

Skills:

• Accurate, efficient and excellent customer service skills
• At least one year as a registered pharmacist, retail or similar experience preferred

Education:

• Requires a RPh license.
• The candidate should have a Pharm D or bachelors in Pharmacy AND licensed in MA.
