The Hospitalist role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth of our Hospital Medicine division, delivering exceptional patient care at UK Chandler and Good Samaritan Hospitals. Join a team committed to advancing internal medicine through clinical excellence, education, and leadership in the Bluegrass region. As a member of UK HealthCare—ranked Kentucky’s No. 1 hospital for nine consecutive years by U.S. News & World Report —you'll join a nationally recognized division known for its outstanding patient care and commitment to medical education.

About the Role:

Primary Responsibilities : As a clinical faculty member in our Hospital Medicine division, your role will include active participation in divisional initiatives, such as serving on clinical committees that advance patient care and optimize clinical operations. Additionally, you may have opportunities to contribute to clinical teaching and leadership within the healthcare system.

Faculty Growth and Development: As part of our faculty, you may participate in a robust mix of clinical care, teaching, and research within UK HealthCare’s state-of-the-art facilities. Our division is expanding significantly to meet the needs of our clinical programs, so this is an exciting time to be joining a growing division.

Educational Excellence

This role may provide opportunities to engage in teaching, allowing faculty to contribute to the professional development of trainees across the College of Medicine. Chandler Hospital, a 569-bed acute care hospital, has Central and Eastern Kentucky’s only Level I trauma center, and handles the most severe traumas. It has the only Level IV neonatal intensive care unit in the area to treat the sickest infants. The hospital also offers 100 intensive care beds, a post-anesthesia care unit, 17 operating rooms,14-bed labor and delivery, and 26 mother-baby rooms. The hospital draws upon the resources of six UK colleges: Medicine, Nursing, Health Sciences, Dentistry, Pharmacy and Public Health.
  • Good Samaritan Hospital : UK Good Samaritan Hospital is an acute-care facility with 180 licensed beds. The hospital has a long tradition of providing exceptional patient care in a community-hospital atmosphere. With more than 600 clinical and ancillary staff and a medical staff of more than 600 physicians, UK Good Samaritan can offer a broad range of health care services to meet the needs of the residents of central and eastern Kentucky.
