Position Overview

Our client, a well-established M/E/P and FP consulting firm, seeks a dynamic Business Development Manager to spearhead efforts to grow their client base in Merritt Island, FL. This is a key role for someone passionate about building relationships, driving growth, and enhancing brand visibility in a competitive market.

Key Responsibilities & Time Allocation

1. Client Acquisition (35%)

o Identify and pursue new business opportunities through strategic outreach, cold calling, and networking.

o Develop and execute a structured business development plan tailored to the Merritt Island market.

o Metrics:

§ Number of new clients onboarded quarterly.

§ Sales pipeline value and win rate.


2. Relationship Building (25%)

o Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.

o Act as the main point of contact, ensuring client satisfaction and consistent communication.

o Metrics:

§ Client retention rate.

§ Feedback from client satisfaction surveys.


3. Market Analysis and Strategic Planning (15%)

o Research market trends, competitors, and potential opportunities to inform business strategies.

o Provide regular reports to leadership on market developments and new opportunities.

o Metrics:

§ Monthly market analysis reports.

§ Identified opportunities converted to actionable plans.


4. Brand Visibility and Representation (15%)

o Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking gatherings.

o Collaborate with marketing to improve local brand recognition through strategic initiatives.

o Metrics:

§ Number of events attended.

§ Engagement levels (e.g., leads generated, partnerships initiated).


5. Proposal and Presentation Development (10%)

o Prepare and deliver customized proposals and presentations to prospective clients.

o Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proposals meet client needs and align with the firm’s capabilities.

o Metrics:

§ Proposal success rate.

§ Average turnaround time for proposal delivery.

Qualifications

· Proven experience in business development, preferably in M/E/P consulting or the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) industry.

· Strong local network in Merritt Island or surrounding areas.

· Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work independently and drive results with minimal supervision.

· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Compensation and Benefits

· Base Salary: $75,000–$90,000 annually, depending on experience.

· Incentives: Performance-based bonuses of up to 20% of the base salary.
