Arrowhead Talent Solutions is supporting an industrial manufacturer in Cleveland OH (west-side) with filling a Maintenance Manager position. The company provides a competitive salary and benefits package.
Summary
The Maintenance Manager will oversee all plant maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, equipment repairs, and installations to ensure the maximum uptime on all equipment. Manage all daily functions associated with production, building, and grounds. Direct all shift supervisors, leads, and mechanics to work as a team and support group to support all manufacturing departments. Monitor mechanics progress and determine training needs to ensure a well-trained workforce that can provide the quickest response time for improved efficiency and quality.
Responsibilities
-Review mechanics skill levels, for improved performance.
-Manage and direct department personnel.
-Provide training and development for all maintenance personnel.
-Recommend staff and compensation changes.
-Provide technical guidance to direct and indirect manufacturing personnel.
-Schedule preventative maintenance activities and monitor planned vs. actual hours.
-Monitor and manage maintenance overtime hours.
-Develop and maintain standard operating and preventative maintenance procedures.
-Monitor and compare maintenance operating budgets vs. actual expenses.
-Schedule work activities for weekends and during shutdown periods.
-Coordinate and schedule work for outside contractors.
-Work directly with engineering on projects and new equipment installations using Microsoft Project.
-Perform analysis of equipment to solve problems, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
-Apply project management skills when planning tasks, obtaining resources, directing the resources, and the completion of all projects in a timely manner.
-Possess a strong sense of urgency, and the ability to transmit that sense of urgency to the -Maintenance Team in a constructive fashion.
-Ability to set clear goals and expectations for self and for direct reports.
-Promote a safe and clean work environment.
-Other duties as assigned.
Experience
A Minimum of eight (8) years experience in a maintenance environment with 5 years experience in a supervisory capacity.
Education
Technical Degree, Journeyman Papers, or BS degree is required.
Required Skills
-Experience in technical areas including machine shop operations, welding, basic electrical practices, fluid power, pneumatics, and pipefitting.
-Must have a high level of ability to furnish technical guidance to all levels of Production, Engineering, Q.A. and Management.
-Must have the ability to plan and coordinate projects and outside activities.
