Role Title: Test Manager – Treasury

Location: Remote with travel to NY every 3-4 weeks (onsite 4 days those weeks)
Role Description:
The Test Manager is responsible for leading the overall testing strategy, planning, and execution across multiple projects within a program. This role requires a strategic approach to quality assurance, with a focus on test governance, defect management, and alignment with program milestones and business objectives. The Program Test Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient test delivery, risk mitigation, and quality standards across all program deliverables.
Test Strategy & Planning
- Develop, document, and drive the test strategy for the program, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and quality expectations.
- Oversee the creation of project-specific test plans, timelines, and resource requirements, in collaboration with project test managers or leads.
- Ensure leadership approval of the test strategy and test plans, and manage any adjustments based on program changes or risk assessments.
Test Execution Management
- Manage test execution across the program, ensuring timely progress on system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and other test phases as applicable.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track test effectiveness, defect density, and resolution rates, adjusting the test approach as necessary.
- Coordinate test kickoff, standups, and checkpoint meetings to keep test efforts aligned with the program timeline and deliverables.
Defect and Quality Management
- Establish and oversee the defect management process, coordinating with development, business analysts, and other stakeholders to prioritize and resolve issues efficiently.
- Lead defect triage sessions, ensuring proper classification and escalation of defects based on their impact on program success and timelines.
- Ensure that test environments are sufficiently available and stable for testing needs, coordinating with environment management as needed.
Governance and Reporting
- Ensure compliance with quality management standards, including risk assessments and periodic quality reviews of test deliverables.
- Provide regular updates and reports on test progress, defect status, and risk to senior leadership, highlighting potential impacts on program delivery.
- Facilitate go/no-go decision-making process
Requirements:
We need someone who is very experienced but needs to be very hands on.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in quality assurance and testing, with extensive expertise in a test leadership role across large programs.
- Strong expertise in test planning, test case design, execution management, and defect management processes.
- Familiarity with testing methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid models.
- Proficient in test management tools (e.g., JIRA, ALM or similar).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at various levels.
- Strong understanding of risk-based testing, automation, and performance testing approaches.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ISTQB or other relevant testing certification.
- Experience in business continuity and resiliency testing.
- Knowledge of ERP systems, especially Oracle ERP Cloud, is a plus.
- Banking, Treasury, or financial management is highly preferred
