Job Description

The Senior Project Manager is accountable for ensuring that projects are completed successfully, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This includes managing risks, resources, and stakeholders effectively while ensuring seamless project delivery. Financial systems experience is a must, and prior experience in the insurance sector is highly desirable.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning: Lead the creation of detailed project plans that clearly define scope, objectives, timelines, budgets, and required resources, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  2. Project Execution: Oversee the project team’s activities, ensuring that tasks are completed on schedule, within financial constraints, and according to established quality benchmarks.
  3. Risk Management: Proactively identify potential risks and implement strategies to mitigate them, ensuring smooth project progression and adherence to budget.
  4. Stakeholder Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including core teams and external partners, to ensure alignment and successful achievement of project goals.
  5. Communication: Provide clear and timely communication regarding project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders, including senior management and project sponsors, ensuring transparency and engagement.
  6. Resource Management: Efficiently manage project resources—personnel, equipment, and materials—to ensure maximum productivity and alignment with project goals.
  7. Quality Management: Ensure all project deliverables meet the required quality standards, and that established processes are consistently followed to guarantee excellence.
  8. Change Management: Oversee changes in project scope, timelines, or budget, ensuring any modifications are properly documented, approved, and communicated.
  9. Project Closure: Ensure all deliverables are completed, and the project is closed out in a structured and timely manner, with final reporting and lessons learned for future improvements.


Required Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of project management experience.
  • Proven experience managing finance system projects is essential.
  • Minimum of 5 full project life cycles completed (preferably with multinational companies).
  • Proficient in both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • Expertise in using project management and planning tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, etc.).
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and manage project teams toward achieving goals.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage team schedules effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with a creative approach to identifying solutions and making data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a proactive approach to task execution and independent problem-solving.
