Senior Financial Analyst – Healthcare Sector
The Senior Financial Analyst will play a pivotal role in enhancing financial reporting and analytical processes to support data-driven decision-making in the healthcare sector. This role involves analysis, forecasting, and reporting of financial and operational results, partnering with management to identify trends and recommend actions to support the organization’s mission of delivering exceptional healthcare services.
This position is based in King of Prussia, PA, with a flexible 4-day workweek schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with executive team members on reporting, analysis, planning, and forecasting activities specific to healthcare operations.
- Present findings and actionable recommendations in management meetings to improve financial and operational outcomes.
- Develop, track, and report on healthcare-specific operational and financial metrics and KPIs.
- Enhance reporting capabilities through automated tools like PowerBI dashboards.
- Contribute to data warehouse development to ensure data accuracy and integrity for healthcare data.
- Prepare monthly financial and operational presentations for stakeholders, including insights into healthcare service performance.
- Assist in budget and forecast preparation, measuring actual performance against healthcare goals.
- Support the CFO with strategic analytics and Board presentations tailored to the healthcare industry.
- Analyze and perform due diligence for M&A opportunities within the healthcare sector.
- Act as a liaison between finance and other departments (operations, clinical, marketing, etc.) to align financial goals with healthcare initiatives.
- Conduct strategic analysis to support healthcare-focused, data-driven decision-making.
- Lead various ad hoc strategic and operational projects within the healthcare organization.
Skills and Competencies:
- 4 - 6 years of experience in finance, accounting, healthcare consulting, investment banking, or similar roles.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, data analytics, or related fields; experience in healthcare finance a plus.
- Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively convey financial insights to healthcare leadership.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools preferred.
- Excellent analytical and financial modeling skills.
- Ability to work independently, managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail with strategic insight into healthcare financial operations.
