Job Description – Business Development Executive
RAYTEL is an emerging leader in the supply and installation of Flat Decks, Dump Bodies and Service Bodies, located in Bolton, Ontario. Our strengths are displayed by asking the right questions, providing excellent communication and delivering unparalleled quality in an unbeatable lead time. We primarily service Central and Southern Ontario.
Role Overview
The BD executive is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, and expanding relationships with, target industries; commercial vehicle dealers and fleet management / leasing companies. This role will primarily involve spending time on the road meeting clients, building networks, and driving sales opportunities. Success in this role requires leveraging your industry experience and proactive attitude to develop strategies that expand our market presence and enhance market share. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a passion for growing business and delivering exceptional customer service. This role reports directly to the GM.
Salary: $120,000 CAD (base + commission structure, vehicle & expenses)
Primary Responsibilities
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, new opportunities or potential clients and adapt sales strategies accordingly.
- Lead Generation: Proactively generate leads through networking, face-to-face visits, industry events, cold calling and other outreach methods to build a robust sales pipeline.
- Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospects and industry influencers to foster collaboration and partnership opportunities.
- Application Assessment: Liaison with clients to understand their unique needs, pain points, and objectives, and present compelling solutions.
- Sales Strategy: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop strategic plans that align with company goals.
- Industry Engagement: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities and market developments to identify new opportunities or threats and adapt sales strategies accordingly.
- Performance KPI’s: Activities breed results. Maintain all touchpoints and prospects in CRM. Monitor sales performance, analyze data trends and provide progress reports.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of the work truck industry.
- Demonstrated ability to build rapport, generate qualified leads and close deals in this space.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach to identifying opportunities and driving results, while making data driven decisions.
- Possess strong ethics and integrity while displaying professionalism.
- Ability to work independently and manage a busy schedule on the road.
- Excellent negotiating, organizational and interpersonal communication skills (both written and oral)
- Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite and cloud-based office systems (i.e. Salesforce CRM)
- Mandatory high school diploma
- Proven experience in B2B marketing, sales or business development roles preferably within the commercial vehicle upfitting (or related) industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field (preferred).
- Valid Ontario drivers license is required
- Ability to travel between Canada and the USA
