Position Overview:


Torus Talent is excited to partner with a forward-thinking consulting firm that works with a dynamic range of clients in industries such as solar energy, high voltage power systems, amusement parks, and more. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Electrical Project Engineer who thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to take on diverse and technically challenging projects.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Lead electrical engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Design & Analysis: Develop detailed electrical system designs, including power distribution, high-voltage substations, and renewable energy systems. Ensure designs meet client requirements and adhere to industry standards.
  • Commissioning: Oversee and participate in the commissioning of electrical systems to ensure they meet performance specifications and client expectations.
  • Client Engagement: Act as a primary point of contact for clients, managing expectations and maintaining strong, professional relationships.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff. Review and approve engineering deliverables.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all designs and installations comply with relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams, including mechanical engineers, civil engineers, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions.


About You:

  • Education & Certification: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. P.Eng designation or eligibility for registration in (Province).
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on project-based work in consulting or industrial environments. Experience in industries such as solar, high voltage, or amusement parks is highly desirable.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of electrical system design, including power distribution, motor controls, and renewable energy systems. Proficiency with software tools such as AutoCAD, ETAP, or similar.
  • Commissioning: Proven experience in the commissioning of electrical systems.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. A proactive and client-focused mindset.
  • Other Requirements: Ability to travel occasionally for site visits and client meetings.
