Position Overview:

Our client is a growing engineering consulting firm specializing in building systems design. They are seeking an Electrical Designer to join their team in Abbotsford, B.C. Further Responsibilities Include the Following:

• Utilize AutoCAD to develop designs and drawings for building systems, including lighting, power distribution, fire alarm systems, and schematics.
• Collaborate with the project team to address and resolve construction issues.
• Assist Project Managers and senior technical staff in delivering high-quality projects on time.
• Apply knowledge of applicable building codes and standards to design challenges.
• Participate in client discussions and contribute to project success as your experience grows.

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

• Graduation from a technical college or university program specializing in Electrical Design, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Electrical Design, preferably in building systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office 365, and other design tools.
• Strong understanding of building codes and standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• ASTTBC registration is preferred but not required.
