About the Role: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our interdisciplinary team. The PMHNP will provide clinical assessments and ongoing treatment to individuals served by a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC). This role primarily supports adults with serious mental health diagnoses, substance use disorders, and co-morbid medical conditions. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with Program Directors and the Clinical Director to deliver trauma-informed and culturally competent care, promoting the recovery goals of our clients. Responsibilities:Conduct psychiatric assessments and evaluations, including up to 12-14 follow-ups or 4-6 initial evaluations per day.Prescribe, monitor, and administer psychotropic medications, adhering to best practices.Complete Buprenorphine training and obtain a waiver to prescribe.Educate clients on medication side effects and monitor their response to prescribed treatments.Provide crisis intervention services during business hours and consultation during off-hours.Participate in clinical case conferences, team meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.Communicate with the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene regarding Assisted Outpatient Treatment (AOT) cases.Assess and monitor clients’ physical health as part of integrated care.Complete all clinical documentation using the Electronic Health Record system.Coordinate care with families and other community treatment providers, including hospitals, housing providers, and criminal justice personnel.Ensure services are trauma-informed, culturally competent, and person-centered. Qualifications:Current license to practice as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in New York State.Board certification as a PMHNP.Current DEA registration for prescribing controlled substances.ANCC certification or pending application.NYS OPRA status approved or pending application and a Health Commerce Account established prior to employment.Experience working with individuals with serious mental health diagnoses and co-occurring substance use disorders.Bilingual Spanish is highly desired. Work Schedule: On-site, Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Key Details:Average daily patient flow: No more than 15 clients per day, including a mix of initial psychiatric evaluations and ongoing care.Staff mix on-site: Two psychiatrists and one other PMHNP.Open to new graduate PMHNPs with RN experience. 42042
