Director of Operations

Our manufacturing client is seeking a Director of Operations to join their Millville, NJ team.

The role will be responsible for plant operations development and management, including HR, production, maintenance, warehousing, safety, quality, and shipping/receiving. The Director of Operations will also develop and implement operational plan, ensure proper procedures, and perform organizational efficiency evaluation.

Responsibilities of the Director of Operations

• Developing, implementing, and reviewing company operational guidelines and policies
• Creating and tracking organizational KPIs to ensure quality, safety, cost, and delivery targets are met
• Cultivating and maintaining a continuous improvement culture
• Working with Human Resources on job description creation, hiring, and employee training programs oversight
• Collaborating with Costing Analyst and Plant Controller on finished goods costing and plant budget monitoring
• Tracking organizational revenue margins and performing budget reviews
• Managing procurement and recourse allocation
• Coordinating new products, line extensions, existing products, and revision development

Requirements of the Director of Operations

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 10+ years operations leadership experience
• Manufacturing experience
• ERP systems knowledge
• Strong negotiation skills
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Additional Details:

Salary: $185k

Employment type: Direct hire

The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, location and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
