Job Description

Judge Healthcare is currently seeking 2 Speech Language Pathologists for a fantastic school district in Reading, PA! Assistance with acquiring PA Teaching Certification offered!


Type: Contract- Open

Hours: Mon- Fri school hours!

Rate: Flexible and based on experience


Job Responsibilities:

Referral Management:

  • Accept referrals for children suspected of or exhibiting communication disorders.
  • Ensure timely entry of referrals into the screening and evaluation process according to program procedures.

Screening and Evaluation:

  • Conduct screenings and evaluations individually or as part of multidisciplinary or trans-disciplinary teams.
  • Identify children with communication disorders through thorough screening and evaluation.
  • Generate evaluation reports (ER) independently or collaboratively.

Individualized Education:

  • Develop, review, and revise Individual Education Programs (IEPs) for eligible children in coordination with parents, teachers, and relevant personnel.
  • Provide appropriate intervention (individual, group, classroom-based, community-based) for eligible children.

Consultation and Training:

  • Consult with parents, teachers, and other relevant personnel on managing communication disorders and the link between language development and literacy.
  • Assist in organizing and conducting training related to communication and literacy.
  • Contribute to curriculum components related to communication and literacy.

Grant Projects:

  • Participate in grant projects focused on communication and literacy for children.


Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology (required)
  • Pennsylvania certification as required by the Department of Education.
  • Pennsylvania SLP license
  • ASHA’s Certificate of Clinical Competency
  • Experience evaluating students with special needs/developmental delays and implementing educational programs.
