A highly regarded law firm is seeking an Environment & Land Use Associate with 2-5 years of experience to join either its Los Angeles or Orange County office. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic practice group working on a wide range of matters, including renewable energy, transit and transportation, regulated utilities, housing and commercial developments, and public infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting land use and environmental due diligence.
- Managing land use entitlements and environmental/resource permitting.
- Advising on CEQA and NEPA counseling and compliance.
- Defending zoning and environmental approvals in state and federal court.
Qualifications:
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Admitted to the State Bar of California.
- 2-5 years of experience in environmental and land use law.
- Strong writing and analytical skills, with a deep interest in environmental law.
