Job Title: Electrical Test Engineer II

Contract Length: 18 Months+

Location: Irvine, CA

Pay: $40-55/hr (Dependent on experience)


Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Test Engineer II to support the development, validation, and implementation of advanced test equipment used in the manufacturing of cutting-edge medical devices. This role provides an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment, contributing to the creation of life-changing products.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and validate automated and manual test systems.
  • Perform hardware and software integration to ensure robust test system performance in a manufacturing setting.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in test systems, leveraging strong problem-solving skills.
  • Design and analyze custom Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs) and work with test instrumentation.
  • Develop and optimize test software using industry-standard tools like LabVIEW and TestStand.
  • Integrate test systems with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), such as Siemens OpCenter.
  • Document designs, test procedures, and validation reports in compliance with industry and regulatory standards.


Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field (BSEE or equivalent).
  • Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience in hardware and software design, development, and validation.
  • Strong ability to work independently while effectively communicating with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
  • Expertise in both hardware and software design, with a proven ability to deliver high-quality solutions.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hardware: Experience designing, testing, and troubleshooting custom PCBAs and working with advanced test instrumentation.
  • Software: Proficiency in LabVIEW and TestStand; experience with C# and Python is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), such as Siemens OpCenter, is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience in the medical device or other regulated industries is a bonus.
