Pay: $85K-$100K/year

Location: Atlanta, GA

Schedule: M-F normal business hours

Functions:

• Leading, Training, Hiring, coaching and overseeing 10-15 employees.
• Assist with benchwork for Nucleic acid testing (Panther); STAT testing; automated RPR; Hepatitis; Blood banking etc.
• Oversees the checking and transfer of data as necessary and takes steps to correct possibly inaccurate data prior to continued processing or release.
• Encounters problems in daily operations and guides laboratory staff.
• Work closely with Quality Assurance related to site quality events, including, non-conformances, corrective actions, and audit findings.
• Serves as a liaison for the laboratory to outside vendors.
• Assists in the development of a budget and monitors laboratory expenditures.
• Follows all cGMP compliances and laboratory regulations.
• Knowledge of the use of laboratory apparatus and equipment.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences, Medical Technology, Chemistry, or other Biological Sciences Required.
• 5+ years of Clinical Laboratory experience required.
• 3+ years of Laboratory Management / Leadership experience.
• ASCP certification within MLT or MLS is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; perform STAT testing
