We are currently seeking a Structural Designer/Drafter with expertise in Tekla Structures , SDS/2 , and steel detailing to join a dynamic team in Houston, Texas.

Responsibilities

• Develop and prepare detailed structural drawings , plans, and 3D models using Tekla Structures and SDS/2 .
• Perform steel detailing , ensuring accurate connection designs and shop drawings for fabrication.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to meet project specifications and design requirements.
• Revise and update existing designs based on client feedback or project changes.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and industry best practices.
• Maintain accurate and organized project records, including CAD files and design documentation.
• Work closely with project managers and engineers to resolve technical challenges and ensure project success.
• Assist in creating construction-ready models and detailing for fabrication and erection processes.

Requirements

• Experience: 2-7 years in CAD design/drafting, with a focus on structural or construction-related projects.
• Software Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Tekla Structures , SDS/2 , and other CAD tools.
• Steel Detailing Expertise: In-depth experience in steel detailing, including shop drawings and connection designs.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of structural design principles and construction processes.
• Attention to Detail: Commitment to producing accurate and high-quality work.
• Teamwork: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Independence: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
