As a Receiver at Cafe Zaffri , you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by receiving and organizing deliveries. You will uphold our standards of quality, cleanliness, and safety while contributing to the success of our culinary team.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect deliveries to ensure accuracy and quality of products .
- Verify the accuracy of deliveries by checking items against purchase orders and invoices .
- Ensure proper labeling, storage, and organization of all perishable and non-perishable items according to food safety regulations .
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to minimize waste and maximize efficiency .
- Maintain a clean and organized storage area and walk-in refrigerators .
- Report any issues, discrepancies, or damages to the Head Steward promptly .
- Accurately update inventory records with received goods .
- Rotate stock using the First In, First Out (FIFO) method to reduce waste and ensure freshness.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred .
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail .
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and collaborate as part of a team .
- Knowledge of food safety regulations (DOH) is a plus.
