SUMMARY To successfully manage Pharmacy operations, which includes but is not limited to maximizing gross, margins, ensuring sales production, controlling inventory and expenses.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Responsible for company assets including receiving, invoicing, pricing, shrink control, and inventory.
- Supervises the accurate and efficient filling and dispensing of all written and oral prescriptions.
- Provides patient consultation/education on all prescriptions.
- Meets minimum standards for patient care.
- Ensures that all pharmacy department associates provide outstanding customer service.
- Recruits, interviews, staffs, manages and develops quality Associates.
- Develops, trains, and daily management of Staff Pharmacists and Technicians.
- Knows and ensures adherence to all third party contracts.
- Ensures compliance with all corporate policies and procedures as well as all federal and state drug laws.
- Develops and maintains a professional and cooperative working relationship with local healthcare providers and store Associates.
- Supports, implements, and is compliant with all corporate programs.
- Stays abreast of changes within the profession of pharmacy. Takes an active role in the future of the profession.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES - Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this department.

- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems
