Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Responsible charge of electrical design / engineering on projects.
Capable of Project Management of MEP systems for projects.
Meeting with Project Manager and Project Design Team to discuss design scope, schedule, budget, phasing, site issues, and design review issues for projects.
Communicate with Project Manager project status, project information required, and any design issues requiring resolution.
Oversee production of electrical design / engineering on projects.
Mentor junior electrical design staff.
Estimate discipline man-hours required to complete the design requirements of a project.
Ensure that final design matches the client and project teams’ requirements.
Review preliminary and final design with other disciplines for function, clearances, coordination, and final design selection.
Edit construction specifications specific to electrical systems design.
Perform final reviews of engineering drawings.
Perform quality control / quality assurance reviews of other design teams’ projects.
Perform both in-office and on-site Construction Administration duties on projects.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
College Degree required
Professional Engineering registration required
Minimum of five years of engineering design experience working on a wide variety of building types, such as commercial, light industrial, institutional healthcare, laboratories and government facilities.
LEED Accreditation preferred
SKILLS:
Strong communication and client relations skills required
Advanced proficiency in MS Office required
Proficiency in SKM Power Tools preferred
Proficiency in AGi32 preferred
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT preferred
