Position Summary:

The Commercial Superintendent is responsible for managing all aspects of onsite construction for multifamily and commercial projects. This role ensures that projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Onsite Supervision: Lead all day-to-day construction activities, ensuring alignment with project plans and specifications.
• Team Management: Coordinate subcontractors, labor crews, and suppliers to maintain workflow and productivity.
• Safety Oversight: Enforce safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
• Scheduling: Create and manage project schedules, addressing potential delays and ensuring timely completion.
• Quality Control: Perform regular inspections to ensure all work meets or exceeds quality standards and project specifications.
• Problem Solving: Address onsite challenges quickly and effectively, minimizing project disruptions.
• Communication: Serve as the primary onsite liaison between project managers, subcontractors, and clients.

Qualifications:

• Experience: At least 3 years of experience as a Superintendent with a commercial general contractor, focusing on multifamily and commercial projects.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, methods, and safety regulations.
• Skills:
• Exceptional leadership and organizational abilities.
• Proficient in interpreting blueprints, project plans, and specifications.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Technical: Familiarity with construction management software is a plus.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; certifications or degrees in construction management are advantageous.
