CNC Machinist
Are you a skilled machinist with experience operating CNC equipment? We're looking for a motivated professional to join a growing team and play a vital role in producing high-quality components for various industrial applications.
Responsibilities:
- Operate CNC lathes or machining centers to perform machining operations on parts such as shafts, wheels, gears, drums, and other components.
- Interpret part drawings and ensure products meet required dimensions and specifications.
- Monitor machining processes, identify variations, and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality.
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct inspections, including first-piece inspections, and make adjustments as needed to maintain precision.
- Maintain an organized and safe work environment, adhering to all safety standards.
- Keep accurate records and communicate any production-related issues to supervisors.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks and contribute to a team-focused, customer-oriented work environment.
- Ability to set up machines is a plus.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Knowledge of machining processes, tooling applications, and general shop practices. Must possess basic machinist tools and demonstrate proficiency in using precision measuring instruments and hand tools.
- Ability to read blueprints, work orders, and detailed drawings.
- Familiarity with basic computer tasks, including email and data entry.
- Capable of working within tight tolerances and performing detailed visual inspections.
- Physical requirements include the ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, and use hands for various tasks. Must have strong vision capabilities, including close, distance, and peripheral vision.
