Responsibilities: - Prepare and execute dishes with consistency and attention to detail, following Johnny Pistolas' elevated Mexican cantina menu.
- Assist in leading the kitchen team during service to ensure smooth operation.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and safety in the kitchen.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef and kitchen staff to develop and execute seasonal and creative menu items.
- Train and mentor line cooks and prep staff, fostering a positive and professional work environment.
- Manage food inventory and communicate supply needs to the kitchen manager.
- Uphold food quality standards while meeting time-sensitive demands during peak service hours.
Qualifications: - 3+ years of experience in a high-volume kitchen; at least 1 year in a leadership role preferred.
- Strong understanding of Mexican cuisine and techniques, with a willingness to innovate and elevate dishes.
- Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and team management abilities.
- A current Food Handler’s Certification (or willingness to obtain one).
