Our client is a leader in premium gifting and event consultancy, renowned for delivering personalized, gift solutions. They cater primarily to the furniture and bedding industry, providing tailor-made offerings that exceed client expectations.
Currently seeking a dynamic Sales & Marketing Specialist to join their team, s/he will drive sales, manage trade shows, and build lasting relationships with the Top 100 Retailers in the furniture and bedding industry. The focus will be on crafting custom gifting strategies and exclusive event ideas, creating an unmatched client experience. This person will ideally be located in Bethesda, Maryland or Southern Florida.
Key Position Responsibilities
1. Sales & Business Development
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the furniture, bedding, and other emerging industries.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with our 25 current clients, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty.
- Actively engage potential clients of the top retailers in the furniture and bedding industry, demonstrating the value of the company’s bespoke gifting solutions, VIP events, and marketing partnerships.
- Collaborate with company leadership to meet revenue goals and consistently exceed client expectations.
2. Trade Shows & Events
- Organize / participate in trade shows and industry events to showcase services and expand client base.
- Present compelling pitches to potential clients, generating leads and driving sales.
- Provide product demonstrations and articulate the unique features of gifting and VIP event solutions.
3. Client Relationship Management
- Understand the needs of Clients, tailoring solutions to meet preferences.
- Work closely with internal teams to develop personalized gifting and marketing strategies.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, ensuring ongoing satisfaction and addressing any concerns.
- Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell our premium offerings to existing clients.
4. Market Research & Analysis
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging markets.
- Conduct market research to identify new target segments, such as corporate gifting, casinos, and the auto industry.
- Offer insights and recommendations to improve marketing strategies and increase client engagement.
Professional & Personal Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven sales, business development, or marketing experience, preferably in the furniture and bedding industry.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong presentation and negotiation abilities, especially for those with experience in large retail.
