Job Summary:
Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President of Construction to lead and oversee their construction division. This senior leadership role requires a hands-on professional with extensive experience in construction management, strategic planning, and team leadership. The Vice President of Construction will ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, focusing on luxury multi-family and condominium developments in South Florida.
Key Responsibilities of the Vice President of Construction :

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the construction department's strategic plan, providing a visionary leadership to the construction team, fostering a culture of excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Project Management: Oversee all construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to ensure project success.
  • Team Management: Build and lead a high-performing construction team, including project managers, site supervisors, and other construction professionals.
  • Budget and Cost Management: Manage the construction budget, including cost estimation, tracking, and cost control measures. Ensure that projects are financially viable and meet profitability targets.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce strict quality control measures to guarantee the delivery of luxury living spaces that exceed client and market expectations.
  • Contractor, vendor and Subcontractor Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with General Contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.
  • Contracts and Agreements: Negotiate contracts and agreements to optimize project outcomes. Including drafting companies standard CQs, best construction practice and Bid package.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate construction-related risks and ensure compliance with all relevant building codes and regulations.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports for senior management and executives, summarizing project progress, challenges, and financial performance.


Qualifications for the Vice President of Construction:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • A minimum of 20 years of experience in construction management, with at least 10 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering luxury multi-family and condominium projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. In-depth knowledge of construction industry best practices, regulations, and technologies.
