Growing together.nnThe Licensed Practical Nurse provides assistance to the physician with patient care in accordance with established methods and techniques while conforming with recognized standards and as defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing.nnPrimary Responsibilities:nnParticipates and maintains a culture within The Corvallis Clinic consistent with the content outlined in the Service and Behavioral Standards Caregiver Handbook. To this end, employee will be expected to read, have familiarity, and embrace the principles contained withinnnDirects patient flow and prepares patients for examsnnFacilitates collection of all necessary information required for patient visits. Accurately records pertinent information in the chart and insures necessary patient care paperwork is processed and forwarded in a timely mannernnAccepts and returns patient phone calls, and insures that callbacks and prescription refills are completed in a timely fashion consistent with physician guidelines and scope of practice as well as clinic guidelines. Documents pertinent information accuratelynnAssists providers with procedures as directed and maintain asepsis. Performs invasive procedures for which he/she has the training and skillsnnProactively monitors physician schedules for accuracynnImproves the quality of care through continuing education and self-evaluation of the effectiveness of care.
