Growing together.nnAs an Ultrasound Technologist, under the direction of the supervising Radiologist, you will perform ultrasonic procedures at a technical level not requiring direct supervision.nnPrimary Responsibilities:nnParticipates and maintains a culture within The Corvallis Clinic consistent with the content outlined in the Service and Behavioral Standards Caregiver document. To this end, employee will be expected to read, have familiarity, and embrace the principles contained withinnnPerforms a variety of ultrasound examinations, including but not limited to abdominal, pelvic, obstetric, vascular, and musculoskeletal scans. Position patients correctly to obtain clear images while ensuring their comfort and safety during the procedurennCaptures and saves high-quality ultrasound images, ensuring that they accurately represent the anatomy or pathology being examinednnProvides the physician with the clinical history appropriate to the exam being performednnMaintains ultrasound equipment, performing routine maintenance and quality control checks on ultrasound equipment to ensure proper functionality. Ensures surrounding areas are neat and organizednnChecks and reports any equipment failure or maintenance problems to the Department ManagernnCoordinates with front desk personnel to assure a smooth ultrasound schedulennCompiles statistics as required by the Department ManagernnStays current with advances in ultrasound technology and medical knowledge by participating in continuing education and trainingnnYou’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.nnRequired Qualifications:nnGraduate of an approved program in ultrasound technologynnRegistered or eligible for registration with American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in ultrasound physics, general abdominal, OB/GYNnnCurrent Sonography license issued by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging required. License can either be permanent or temporary.
