Job Description

As a Delay Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing and assessing delay and disruption on the Project, evaluating and accurately determining the impact of the delays on the Project schedule, and providing expert advice and support to Project teams. Providing the Project and Contract management team with effective and strategic advice, feeding information into the claims to be submitted, based on your detailed and thorough forensic examination and analysis of the Project information and data.


Role and Responsibilities

  • Be able to analyze and evaluate construction Project schedules to identify delay and disruption.
  • Prepare detailed delay analysis reports and presentations.
  • Be able to present the logic of delays to management in a clear and concise manner, as required.
  • Regular collaboration with Project stakeholders to develop strategies to mitigate delays and improve project performance.
  • Implement best practices and industry standards in delay analysis and planning.
  • Provide expert advice and support to Project teams on delay-related issues.
  • To carry out and provide planning assistance where necessary.
  • Be able to work autonomously and within given timeframes.
  • Supporting major claims, including providing written delay narratives to support claims.
  • Working knowledge of dispute resolution procedures.


Preferred Skills

  • Degree qualified in construction related field.
  • A sound understanding of current construction methodologies
  • In depth knowledge of all delay analysis and Project planning techniques.
  • Good knowledge of P3 contracts within the construction industry.
  • Excellent knowledge of planning software (e.g. P6, Powerproject)
  • A good track record in the delivery of delay and disruption claims.
  • Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong prioritization skills and ability to manage a high volume of competing requests.
