Our client is now actively seeking to add a specialized Pensions and Benefits Associate or Counsel to join their National Pensions & Benefits Group in their Calgary office.

Qualifications and Attributes:

• The successful candidate will have 5+ years of experience working in pensions, benefits, executive compensation and related matters. Some tax, corporate or securities knowledge would be an asset. Candidates currently practicing tax, corporate and securities law with a demonstrated familiarity with and interest in pensions and benefits law will also be considered.
• The successful candidate will work in a challenging environment on complex pensions and benefits mandates. The ability to handle multiple files and meet tight deadlines is a must.
• A breadth and depth of technical legal knowledge, excellent business judgment and strong analytical and drafting skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and client service skills, strong initiative, and the ability to work well on a variety of teams; and
• Excellent organizational, project management and leadership skills, and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Must be qualified to practice law in Canada
