We are seeking a Morning Baker / Pastry Cook to play a key role in our kitchen. This position will be responsible for laminated doughs (like puff pastry and medialunas), crafting delicious morning pastries, and working closely with our production team to keep the bakery running smoothly. We offer cross-training in various bread and pastry tasks, giving you the opportunity to master a wide range of skills and techniques.

We're looking for someone with:
- Availability to work full time (4am opening shifts, weekends)
- Experience working in commercial kitchens (1 year minimum)
- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods and easily lift 50-100 lbs
- Great communication and math skills
- Ability to focus and stay on task, both working alone and alongside team
- Strong work ethic, timeliness, and sense of urgency
- Attention to detail and cleanliness
- Willingness to follow policies and procedures
- Commitment to a positive environment and work within a team
- Passion for bread and baking
- Friendly, energetic, and engaged attitude
- Practice and demonstrate knowledge of food safety
- Current food handler certification
Some tasks include developing and shaping laminated doughs, making cakes, baking and packing cookies, cleaning stations, scaling and mixing leavens, helping close the kitchen, and more.
Schedule : MUST be available to work mornings (4am) and weekends, with Mondays and Tuesdays days off every week.
Compensation : $16.50-17.50/hr plus pooled tips which average an additional $5-8 more per hour = $23-25/hr
