Sales Operations Manager


Job Summary

The Sales Operations Manager will lead sales operations activities, working closely with leadership and client-facing teams to ensure effective execution of strategic sales initiatives, track results, and analyze key performance indicators to identify opportunities to enhance sales team efficiency and effectiveness. This role will also act as a representative and key stakeholder across other functional areas, ensuring alignment throughout the organization to deliver a strong value proposition to customers.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of the Account Management team, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.
  • Implement sales processes to improve efficiency, streamline workflows, and support overall business goals.
  • Ensure solid execution of recurring tasks
  • Analyze sales indicators and results to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sales initiatives with company objectives.
  • Ensure accurate sales forecasting, reporting, and tracking of sales opportunities.
  • Identify and resolve operational issues that may impact the Account Management team’s success.
  • Help manage sales management systems, ensuring data accuracy.
  • Conduct internal service discussions to evaluate inter-departmental support and provide actionable feedback to improve team collaboration.


Skills/Knowledge/Experience required to perform the job:

  • Post secondary education
  • 5-7 years experience in a customer facing role
  • Previous experience leading sales teams & minimum 3 years of people leadership
  • Proven track-record of dealing constructively with customers
  • Ability to influence business leaders and employees
  • Data-driven and can derive actions from analysis
  • Can leverage technology to generate deeper insights
  • Bring recommendations to life
  • Exceptional organizational abilities. Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Confidence in collaboratively working with all levels of leadership
  • Team building, coaching, and conflict resolution skills
  • Proven ability to manage projects & processes
  • Willingness and ability to learn the key aspects of the scrap metal business
  • Eagerness to be present in our yards, multi-site work is required


Working Conditions while performing the job:

The position is based in an office setting and will require time spent in operational areas.

Will involve visits to customer locations.
