We are looking for an Executive Chef who is passionate about food, innovative in menu development, and skilled in leading a team to excellence. At The Beach Club Resort, you’ll be part of a community that values exceptional service and memorable guest experiences.


Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Executive Chef at The Beach Club Resort in Parksville, BC. The Executive Chef will be responsible for overseeing the culinary operations, menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen management. Additionally, the Executive Chef will lead a team of culinary staff, maintain food quality standards, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement innovative and profitable menus for the restaurant, catering, and banquet services.
  • Lead and inspire the kitchen team in high-pressure settings, ensuring culinary excellence.
  • Manage kitchen operations, adhering to budget constraints and maximizing profitability.
  • Implement effective cost control measures, food ordering, and inventory management.
  • Mentor and develop kitchen staff, promoting a culture of learning and excellence.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager and other team members to meet business and profitability goals.
  • Ensure all health, safety, and sanitation standards are exceeded.


About the Candidate

  • 4+ years experience leading a full-service hotel culinary team.
  • Red Seal Certification.
  • You work collaboratively with others across the organization to achieve shared objectives.
  • You adapt your approach and demeanour in real time to match shifting demands or different situations.
  • You seek ways to improve processes, from small tweaks to complete reengineering.
  • You develop people to meet both their career goals and organizational goals.
