Our client, a litigation boutique located in Toronto is currently seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant/Law Clerk to join their growing team. This role is primarily remote, and requires being in the office once a month. The ideal candidate will have experience in Commercial Litigation and Civil Litigation.
Responsibilities
- Preparing and revising documents, scheduling meetings, opening and maintaining files and preparing correspondence.
- Drafting and compiling pleadings, motions and Affidavit of Documents.
- Reviewing and summarizing transcripts.
- Drafting and preparing bill of costs.
- Organizing and maintaining files using the firm's Document Management System.
Requirements
- Law Clerk diploma or ILCO certification.
- Strong knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure .
- Minimum 3 years as a Legal Assistant/Law Clerk.
Compensation
This role offers a salary up to $85,000 commensurate with experience, an excellent benefits package and Pension Plan.
