Pride Health is hiring a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical to support our client’s medical facility in Kendallville, IN. This is a Full-time role and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization.
Summary
- The Medical Lab Scientist is responsible for accurately performing medical laboratory tests following established laboratory policies and procedures, adhering to performance and quality standards.
- Responsible for clinical instrument maintenance, new test, and instrumentation development.
- Responsible for training of other laboratory co-workers.
- Actively participates in the overall functioning of the clinical laboratory, assuming leadership or member roles on committees and projects.
- Responsible for keeping the laboratory in continuous readiness for inspection.
- Possesses an extensive knowledge of techniques, instruments, and the basic medical sciences.
- Responsible for the consequences of his/her own decisions and guides other laboratory co-workers.
Education/Licensure/Certification:
- Bachelor of Science required.
- Successful completion of NAACLS accredited Clinical Laboratory Science program required.
- Must be a certified Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist (certification by the Board of Registry of the American Society of Clinical Pathology, the National Credentialing Agency, the American Medical Technologists, or the Board of Registry of the American Association of Bio analysts).
- Must have visual acuity and color discrimination.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills.

Job Duration: Full-time
Shifts: Monday – Friday (3 shifts a week), Shift is Nights, Evening / Night Shift Float with weekends.
Hourly Pay:
Pay range: MLS/MT - $26.71 - $40.06
Pay range: MLT/CLT - $23.36 - $35.04 (Based on experience)
