Job title: PowerBuilder Developer

Location: Remote

Duration: Long Term

This individual should have practical experience with standard development life cycle, including requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, unit & system testing, quality assurance testing as well as experience with business process transformation. Experience designing and implementing SharePoint and web-based solutions are also valuable skills we’re seeking.

Required Skills: (10+ years)

1. Experience as a PowerBuilder developer using PB10 or more recent versions.
2. Strong SQL skills (HiCAMS uses a Sybase database but SQL skills in any database platform are acceptable)
3. Strong Microsoft Suite experience, particularly Excel
4. Experience working in a remote software development environment
5. Strong analytical, conceptual, and technical skills
6. Positive interpersonal skills coupled with an independent, self-motivated work ethic
7. Ability to work with a custom base-class
8. Proven written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain business processes to IT users and IT applications to business users
9. Preferred Skills:
10. Previous development experience with NCDOT’s HiCAMS application
11. Development experience in C#
12. Development experience in Java
13. Development experience in C+
14. Experience coding stored procedures and triggers (any database)
15. Experience developing .net applications and API’s in a Visual Studio environment
16. Data conversion experience
