Job Responsibilities
Continuous Improvement (CI):
- Lead and participate in CI initiatives to improve safety, quality, productivity, and environmental impact.
- Manage CI projects, including setting goals, timelines, budgets, and documenting progress.
- Develop and maintain PFMEA documentation and lead RPN reduction efforts.
Process and Documentation:
- Maintain plant layouts, process routings, BOMs, and ensure accurate documentation for manufacturing processes.
- Coordinate and implement Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and validate capacity for production.
Training and Support:
- Facilitate employee training in areas like welding, robotics, and troubleshooting.
- Provide operator support and recommend corrective actions for equipment issues.
Customer and Compliance:
- Collaborate with customers on CI projects and ensure compliance with safety, legal, and regulatory requirements.
- Support the 5S methodology to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
General Tasks:
- Document project outcomes, manage costs, and provide updates to management.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Work Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience within a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive stampings, welding, mechanical and modular assemblies
- Rules, regulations and applicable legislation governing environmental regulations
- Thorough knowledge of IATF 16949 & ISO 14001, Occupational Health & Safety Act, Ergonomics, Time Studies, Robotics and Industrial Relations
- Ability to read and interpret blue print drawings
- Sound understanding of Geometric Dimension + Tolerance
