Our client, a growing manufacturer, is looking for a Procurement Buyer to join their Supply Chain team.

Onsite (5 days) in Van Nuys

Buyer Overview:

As the Buyer, you will be responsible for assisting with managing all aspects of buying. You will manage the selection, purchasing, and delivery of assigned categories.

Buyer Responsibilities:

• Oversee opportunistic buying based on vendors or classifications and achieve targeted sales and margin performance

• Identify new opportunities, pursue new vendors, source new markets, and maintain strong relationships with various cross-functional partners

• Build strong relationships with vendors and exhibit trust, integrity, and follow-up, visit showrooms, select products, and handle negotiations

• Manage BOM/ Bill of Materials and support the creation on new ones

• Manage inbound logistics including working with International Vendors and Freight Forwarders to ensure all goods arrive to the correct location

• Monthly reconciliation for primary and secondary packaging.

• Partner with Contract Manufacturers (domestic fillers) to ensure goods are filled on time.

Buyer Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred

• Proven Buyer, Planner, Procurement or supply chain management experience

• Prior experience managing BOM/ Bill of Materials

• The ideal candidate has prior experience with beauty or personal care industries

• Strong negotiation and vendor relationship management skills

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including strong Excel skills
