Job Title: Director of Disaster Recovery & Business Resiliency

Job Overview:
The Director will play a key role in the Global IT Infrastructure organization, working with IT teams to support business units and cloud transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Continuity Planning: Lead and enhance the Business Continuity Planning program.
- Strategy Development: Develop disaster recovery strategies to ensure operational continuity post-crisis.
- Annual Planning: Create and update annual disaster recovery plans through assessments.
- Collaboration: Work with IT and business stakeholders on resilient cloud-native application design.
- Risk Management: Monitor and manage availability threats, aligning with corporate priorities.
- Business Impact Analysis: Assess recovery capabilities and develop gap mitigation strategies.
- Review Facilitation: Conduct After Action Reviews post-incident and report findings.
- Emergency Notification Management: Oversee the Emergency Notification System and procedures.
- IT Due Diligence: Manage IT due diligence processes with Investor Relations.
This role is vital for ensuring Bain Capital’s operational resilience and requires strategic, technical, and collaborative skills.
Qualifications for the Director of Disaster Recovery & Business Resiliency
Educational Background:
-Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
Relevant Experience:
- 10+ years in:
- Disaster Recovery
- Operational Risk Management
- Resiliency Practices
- Crisis Management
- Business Continuity
Expertise:
- Knowledge of Business Resiliency requirements:
- Measuring Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) and Recovery Time Objectives (RTO)
- Developing Business Continuity Plans
- Conducting Business Impact Analyses (BIA)
Interpersonal Skills:
- Strong ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
- Effective communicator of continuity and resiliency concepts.
Communication Proficiencies:
- Excellent written verbal, and presentation skills
Project Management:
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects independently.
Technical Knowledge:
- Experience with cloud providers like AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus.
